Description

Skillet chicken with Cajun spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add bell pepper and onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and parsley. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes, or until sauce has thickened slightly.
  7. Serve hot.
