Easy slow cooker chicken shawarma recipe.

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tbsp shawarma seasoning
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pita bread, for serving
- Toppings: lettuce, tomato, cucumber, tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- Place sliced onion in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, shawarma seasoning, cumin, turmeric, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the mixture over the chicken thighs.
- Place chicken on top of the onions in the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Shred the chicken with two forks.
- Serve in pita bread with your favorite toppings.

- Adjust seasoning to your preference.
- Serve with tzatziki sauce.
