A simple shepherd’s pie casserole recipe.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain excess grease.
- Stir in onion and mixed vegetables; cook until onion is softened.
- In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and milk; pour over the beef mixture.
- Transfer to a baking dish.
- Spread mashed potatoes over the top.
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use beef broth instead of milk.
- Add a layer of shredded cheese under the mashed potatoes.
