Simple roasted whole chicken recipe.

- 1 whole chicken (3–4 pounds)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 lemon, quartered
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse chicken and pat dry.
- Rub chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Place lemon quarters and rosemary sprig inside the chicken cavity.
- Place chicken in a roasting pan.
- Roast for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add vegetables like carrots and potatoes to the roasting pan.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is fully cooked.
