A warm and comforting hot chocolate infused with pumpkin spice flavors, perfect for a fall treat.
Ingredients

 - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
 - 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
 - 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - Pinch of salt
 - Whipped cream and extra pumpkin pie spice for topping (optional)
 
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, cocoa powder, sugar, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
 - Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it is hot but not boiling.
 - Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
 - Pour the hot chocolate into mugs.
 - Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, if desired.
 
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk.
 - Adjust the amount of sugar and pumpkin pie spice to your preference.
 - You can add a shot of espresso for a mocha version.
