Ingredients

							Scale

 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
 - 1 cup granulated sugar
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 2 large eggs
 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 2 cups pecan halves
 - 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
 - 1/4 cup light corn syrup

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
 - In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
 - Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
 - In a separate small bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
 - Spread half of the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
 - In another bowl, combine the pecan halves, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Mix well.
 - Spoon the pecan mixture evenly over the batter in the pan.
 - Dollop the remaining batter over the pecan mixture, spreading it gently to cover as much as possible.
 - Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
 - Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can toast the pecans lightly before adding them to the filling.
 - Ensure the bars are completely cool before cutting to prevent them from crumbling.
 - Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
