Description

A baked oatmeal dish with apples and carrots.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1 cup chopped apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, carrots, apples, walnuts, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients and stir to combine.
  5. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
