Description

A refreshing and floral twist on classic lemonade.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Add the dried lavender buds to the sugar syrup. Remove from heat, cover, and let steep for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Strain the lavender syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, discarding the lavender buds. Let the syrup cool completely.
  4. In the pitcher, combine the cooled lavender syrup, fresh lemon juice, and 4 cups of cold water. Stir well.
  5. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh lavender sprigs and lemon slices if desired.

Notes

  • Ensure you use culinary-grade lavender.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar and lemon juice to your preference.
  • For a stronger lavender flavor, steep the buds for a longer period.
