Description

A simple side dish of carrots and green beans with a honey glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Steam or boil carrots and green beans until tender-crisp.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add honey and lemon juice to the skillet.
  4. Stir in carrots and green beans.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook until glazed, about 5 minutes.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or toasted sesame seeds.
