A simple recipe for classic homemade ranch dressing.

- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.
- Stir in the chopped chives, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- For best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute plain yogurt for sour cream for a lighter version.
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice for extra tang.
- This dressing is great on salads, as a dip for vegetables, or as a sauce for chicken.
