Description

Gluten-free brownies with a cream cheese swirl.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine sugar, applesauce, coconut oil, vanilla, and egg.
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar.
  6. Pour brownie batter into a pan.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture over the batter and swirl.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Let cool before cutting.
