Description

Grilled chicken with a sweet and tangy Hawaiian BBQ sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  3. Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  4. Brush with BBQ sauce during the last few minutes of grilling.
  5. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add more red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with rice and grilled pineapple.
