Description
A hearty and simple casserole made with ground beef, potatoes, and cheese.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cans (10.75 oz each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups diced cooked potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Add the diced cooked potatoes and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can use leftover mashed potatoes if you have them.
- For a different flavor, try using cream of celery soup instead of cream of mushroom.
- Add a layer of cooked green beans or peas for extra vegetables.
