Easy and festive Halloween monster brownies perfect for a family treat.

- 1 box (18.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup green candy melts
- 1/4 cup black decorating icing
- Assorted candy eyes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
- Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares.
- Melt the green candy melts according to package directions.
- Dip the top of each brownie into the melted green candy melts, letting excess drip off. Place on a wire rack to set.
- Once the candy melts are set, use the black decorating icing to draw a mouth on each monster brownie.
- Press two candy eyes onto each brownie above the mouth.
- Allow the icing to set before serving.
Notes
- For a richer chocolate flavor, use a dark chocolate cake mix.
- You can substitute any color candy melts for the green.
