- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat; drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, and cumin.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot.

- Add a dollop of sour cream or shredded cheese.
