Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat; drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, and cumin.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve hot.
