Garlic Butter Chicken and Broccoli

Description

A simple and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken and crisp broccoli in a rich garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Add broccoli florets and chicken broth to the skillet. Cover and steam for 3-5 minutes, or until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes, or until sauce has slightly thickened.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  8. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
  • Serve over rice or pasta for a complete meal.
