Description

Soft and chewy eggnog cookies perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup eggnog
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with eggnog, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
  5. Mix until just combined.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
