Simple shepherd’s pie casserole recipe.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) can mixed vegetables, drained
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Mix in mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread mashed potatoes evenly over the meat mixture.
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add garlic powder or onion powder to the meat mixture.
- You can use leftover mashed potatoes for this recipe.
- Feel free to substitute other vegetables, such as peas or carrots.
