Description
Simple scalloped potatoes baked with ham.
Ingredients

- 6 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups diced cooked ham
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine potatoes, onion, melted butter, flour, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in ham.
- Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 60 minutes.
- Sprinkle cheese over the top and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of milk.
- Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra flavor.
