Description

Simple scalloped potatoes baked with ham.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups diced cooked ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine potatoes, onion, melted butter, flour, milk, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir in ham.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake for 60 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle cheese over the top and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of milk.
