Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Mash

Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Mashed Potatoes:

  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the mashed potatoes:
    • Boil the cubed potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
    • Drain and mash with milk, butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy. Cover and keep warm.
  • Cook the steak bites:
    • Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites, season with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
    • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and butter. SautΓ© minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Combine:
    • Return steak bites to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
  • Serve:
    • Plate the mashed potatoes and top with steak bites and garlic butter sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
