Baked Cod with Lemon and Garlic

  • 4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • Pat the cod fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper. Place them in the prepared baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, oregano, and paprika.
  • Drizzle the mixture evenly over the cod fillets, making sure to coat them well.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
  • Serve hot with your choice of sides, such as roasted vegetables or steamed rice.
