Description
Tender steak bites cooked in a crockpot.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Sear steak cubes in olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Transfer steak to the crockpot.
- Add onion and garlic to the crockpot.
- In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Pour over the steak.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Stir the slurry into the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, increase the amount of cornstarch slurry.
- Add vegetables like carrots or potatoes to the crockpot for a complete meal.
