- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until browned on both sides and cooked through.
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix together cream of chicken soup, milk, sherry, and garlic powder.
- Place chicken in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Pour soup mixture over chicken.
- Sprinkle with Swiss cheese and bread crumbs. Drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
- You can substitute Gruyere cheese for Swiss cheese.
- Add vegetables such as broccoli or mushrooms.
