- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk or cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add butter and milk or cream.
- Mash for creamy potatoes, or spread on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for crispy potatoes.
- Season with salt and pepper.

- For extra flavor, add garlic powder or herbs.
