Description

Slow-cooked steak with cowboy butter.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lb steak
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Place steak in slow cooker.
  3. Melt 2 tbsp butter and pour over steak.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt remaining 2 tbsp butter.
  6. Add garlic, parsley, chives, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute.
  7. Stir in lemon juice.
  8. Pour cowboy butter over steak before serving.

  • Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
