- 1.5 lbs beef cube steaks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- In another shallow dish, whisk eggs and milk.
- Dip each steak in the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully place steaks in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove steaks from skillet and place on a wire rack to drain excess oil.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispy steak, double dredge in the flour mixture.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and gravy for a complete meal.
