Description

Classic comfort food featuring tenderized steak coated in seasoned flour and fried to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs beef cube steaks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  2. In another shallow dish, whisk eggs and milk.
  3. Dip each steak in the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Carefully place steaks in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  6. Fry for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove steaks from skillet and place on a wire rack to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy steak, double dredge in the flour mixture.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes and gravy for a complete meal.
