  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  3. In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. In a saucepan, bring Coca-Cola and marshmallows to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until marshmallows are melted.
  6. Pour the Coca-Cola mixture into the batter and mix well.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool completely before frosting.

Notes
