Description
A moist chocolate cake made with Coca-Cola.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup Coca-Cola
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- In a saucepan, bring Coca-Cola and marshmallows to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until marshmallows are melted.
- Pour the Coca-Cola mixture into the batter and mix well.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
- Add chocolate chips to the batter for extra chocolate.
