Description

Festive cupcakes decorated to look like mini Christmas trees, perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • Ingredients for cake mix (eggs, oil, water)
  • Green food coloring
  • 1 can vanilla frosting
  • 1 tube red decorating frosting
  • Assorted small candies (sprinkles, dragees)
  • Cupcake liners

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake batter according to the box directions.
  2. Divide the batter into two bowls. Add green food coloring to one bowl and mix until evenly colored.
  3. Fill cupcake liners halfway with alternating spoonfuls of green and white batter.
  4. Bake according to cake mix directions. Let cool completely.
  5. Frost each cupcake with green frosting, swirling it to create a tree shape.
  6. Decorate the ‘trees’ with red frosting ‘ornaments’ and assorted candies.
