Description

A simple peppermint pie recipe perfect for Christmas.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ready-made graham cracker pie crust
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 3 drops red food coloring
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream, divided
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  2. Stir in peppermint extract and food coloring.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into the graham cracker crust.
  6. Whip the remaining 1/2 cup of heavy cream and spread over the pie.
  7. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger peppermint flavor, add more extract.
