Description

A creamy cheesecake with swirls of chocolate and strawberry.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup strawberry puree
  • 1/4 cup melted chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Mix in vanilla extract and eggs, then stir in sour cream.
  4. Divide batter in half. To one half, add strawberry puree. To the other half, add melted chocolate.
  5. Spoon dollops of each batter alternately over the crust. Swirl with a knife.
  6. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until center is almost set.
  7. Let cool in the oven with the door open for 1 hour. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a smoother cheesecake, use room temperature cream cheese.
  • To prevent cracks, place a pan of water on the bottom rack of the oven while baking.
