Description

These cookies combine the rich flavor of brownies with the convenience of cookies, featuring crisp edges and a soft, fudgy center.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft.
  9. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
