Description
Garlic loaf filled with cheesesteak.
Ingredients

- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound thinly sliced steak
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 8 ounces sliced provolone cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cut loaf lengthwise, remove some bread from both halves.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add steak, bell pepper, and onion. Cook until steak is browned and vegetables are tender.
- Place provolone cheese over the steak mixture.
- In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic, and parsley. Spread mixture on the inside of the bread.
- Fill the loaf with the cheesesteak mixture.
- Wrap the loaf in foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Unwrap and bake for 5 more minutes.
- Slice and serve.
Notes
- Add mushrooms to the steak mixture.
- Use different cheese.
