Description

Chicken simmered in a flavorful garlic ginger broth with a caramelized soy glaze, served over rice.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs chicken thighs, boneless, skinless
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce and brown sugar. Marinate chicken for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a pot. Brown chicken on all sides.
  3. Add garlic and ginger to the pot. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  5. Cook rice according to package directions.
  6. Serve chicken and broth over rice. Garnish with green onions.
