  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for dough)
  • 1 large egg (for dough)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed (for filling)
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (for filling)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by mixing dry ingredients and then adding the wet ingredients.
  2. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, then let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  3. While the dough is rising, prepare the caramel sauce by melting butter and mixing in brown sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla.
  4. Fold in chopped pecans and pour the caramel sauce into a greased baking dish.
  5. Roll out the risen dough, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with filling ingredients.
  6. Roll the dough into a log and slice into 12 pieces, placing them in the caramel sauce.
  7. Let the buns rise for another 30 minutes, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before inverting onto a serving platter.
