Description
Warm and cheesy Italian sub sandwiches baked in the oven.
Ingredients

- 1 loaf Italian bread, sliced horizontally
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing
- 8 ounces sliced ham
- 8 ounces sliced salami
- 8 ounces sliced provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced banana peppers
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Spread mayonnaise on the top half of the bread and Italian dressing on the bottom half.
- Layer ham, salami, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread.
- Top with banana peppers, red onion, and lettuce.
- Place the top half of the bread over the fillings.
- Cut into individual sandwiches.
- Wrap each sandwich in foil.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bread is warm.
Notes
- For a crispier sandwich, unwrap the foil during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Add other toppings as you like, such as tomatoes, pickles, or mustard.
