Quick and easy Asian-inspired ground beef lettuce wraps.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 head lettuce, separated into leaves
- Optional toppings: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, sriracha
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Spoon the ground beef mixture into lettuce leaves.
- Add desired toppings.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a milder flavor, reduce or omit the red pepper flakes.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
- Serve with a side of steamed rice.
