- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup chopped apples
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter.
- Cut each puff pastry sheet in half to create four rectangles.
- Spoon the apple mixture onto one half of each pastry rectangle.
- Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
- Place turnovers on a baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce.
- You can add a pinch of nutmeg to the apple filling for extra flavor.
