Description

A refreshing and festive sangria perfect for fall gatherings, featuring crisp apple cider and warm spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry white wine
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup brandy or applejack
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, apple cider, brandy, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the sliced apple, pear, cinnamon stick, and star anise to the pitcher.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Serve chilled over ice, garnishing each glass with a slice of fruit.

Notes

  • For a sweeter sangria, you can add more sugar to taste.
  • Feel free to add other fall fruits like cranberries or oranges.
  • If you don’t have brandy, you can substitute with rum or vodka.
