- 1 bottle (750ml) dry white wine
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup brandy or applejack
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 pear, thinly sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 star anise
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, apple cider, brandy, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the sliced apple, pear, cinnamon stick, and star anise to the pitcher.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled over ice, garnishing each glass with a slice of fruit.
Notes
- For a sweeter sangria, you can add more sugar to taste.
- Feel free to add other fall fruits like cranberries or oranges.
- If you don’t have brandy, you can substitute with rum or vodka.
